This is subject to correct documentation being produced on arrival, please see examples of documentation below:
1. For a Disabled Ticket: Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Blue Badge or Attendance Allowance DWP award letter with an in-date* award.
2. For a Disabled and Carer Ticket: a Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payment DWP award letter (in-date*) awarded with the Care Component, or an Attendance Allowance DWP award letter with an in-date* award.
3. For short-term or other exceptions, a letter from GP, consultant or specialist (dated within the last 12 months) confirming the appropriate need for a carer, photo ID required.
*NB: in-date as still being in the stated period of award (e.g. 2 years) from the date of issue.
